Our Mission

Quality Education.
Daily Meals. Zero Violence.

SATINO — Save and Teach the Innocent — was founded in Arusha, Tanzania in 2019 after witnessing firsthand the lack of quality early childhood education available to children from low-income families. We believe every child, regardless of background, deserves access to a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, play, and grow.

In a city where only 40% of children access pre-primary education, and where corporal punishment remains common practice in public schools, SATINO offers something different — a place where children are valued, fed, and genuinely cared for.

📚
Quality Education English, Math, and Swahili taught by skilled, caring teachers following Tanzania's official curriculum — in classes of a size where every child gets attention.
🍽️
Daily Nutrition Two nutritious meals every school day. For many of our children, these are the most reliable meals of their day — directly supporting health, concentration, and attendance.
🛡️
Safe & Non-Violent We reject beating — a practice still common in Tanzanian schools. Every child at SATINO is treated with dignity and respect, creating an environment where they feel safe enough to truly learn.
👩‍💼
Empowering Families With children in safe, quality care, parents — particularly mothers — are freed to work and contribute to their household income, creating a wider community impact beyond the school gates.
