Anuar Seleman (2011) has been selected for the inaugural Tanzania U13 national team, a milestone achievement under FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS).
Our academy was founded in April 2023, built on the vision of developing young talent in Arusha. Now, just two years later, one of our own is representing Tanzania on the national stage. This achievement is a testament to the tireless dedication of our coaches, staff, and players.
What makes this moment even more special is that Anuar was the only player selected from the entire Arusha region. He will now relocate to Tanga, where he will live and train at the Tanzanian Football Federation’s camp, working with top coaches and professional-level players. This is an incredible opportunity for him to refine his skills at the highest level available in Tanzania.
Anuar’s talent was undeniable during the 2024 Chipkizi Cup, the largest international youth soccer tournament in Southeast Africa, which is where he got scouted. His performances were pivotal in our U13 team’s success—none more so than his crucial, game-tying goal in the Round of 16 against Fountain Gate’s A team, pushing the match into a penalty shootout that we ultimately won. His outstanding contributions earned him SATINO’s “Player of the Tournament” award between our U13 and U15 teams.
Beyond his skill on the pitch, Anuar exemplified dedication and character throughout his time at Satino Football Academy. His work ethic, discipline, and commitment to improvement made him a role model for younger players in our academy.
About Satino Football Academy
Satino Football Academy was established in 2023 as part of SATINO’s mission to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth in Arusha. More than just a football academy, we aim to develop young athletes holistically, focusing on discipline, teamwork, and leadership. Our academy welcomes boys and girls from different backgrounds, giving them access to structured training, competitive matches, and a supportive environment to grow both as players and individuals.
In just two years, our program has already made an impact, with Anuar’s selection to the national team serving as an inspiration to all. We are committed to continuing our mission of nurturing future football stars and empowering the next generation of Tanzanian athletes.
We couldn’t be prouder of Anuar’s journey. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow and make his mark in Tanzanian football.
